The Challenge
A local Hospital needed to upgrade the outdated emergency power transfer switches. Because of the age of the hospital and the unavailability of past building records, there was uncertainty as to the feeder and branch circuitry it would affect during the installation. The electrical contractor was tasked with creating a updated single line diagram (SLD) to help facility management decide how/when to best perform the installation.
The Solution
Condoit joined the electrical contractor onsite to assist their technicians while they mapped the system. Using the mobile app, they were able to:
✔ Map each ATS with details of downstream equipment
✔ Better manage and coordinate the work of capturing the equipment location, photos, specs, and notes with multiple technicians
✔ Collaborate, in real-time, with questions and issues to the central office using the web app
✔ Provide design engineering a PDF file that can be easily imported into AutoCAD
